Volkswagen is preparing a new "top-version" for the newly launched Scirocco. It will R20T and will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo engine delivering around 265 hp (same engine as the Audi S3). Sales will begin in 2010. Until the R20T there will also be some new versions coming in January 2009: a 160bhp 1.4 Twincharger unit and a 140bhp 2.0-litre common-rail diesel.
